About the Role
Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an engineer to own internal factory bulk gas/liquid/drain capacity reviews. This role involves first-level review for tool retrofit and expansion projects, evaluating utility acceptance for early-stage designs, and troubleshooting factory operation issues related to bulk utilities. The engineer will also summarize factory utility requirements, conduct field audits, manage change order requests, and oversee project execution for factory modifications.
Responsibilities
- Understand utility drawings in AutoCAD.
- Gas/liquid lateral design in AutoCAD for new tool expansion needs.
- Execute in factory field walks during early design to evaluate pipe routing and interference risks.
- Build out of cost and schedule requirements for utility retrofits.
- Project management and tracking of factory retrofit utility work execution.
- Document control of piping specs and flow models for bulk utilities.
- Review tool installation packages for fitting/piping size, flow and pressure accuracy.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in design or equipment/utility installation.
- Experience in semiconductor facility support is preferred.
