About the Role
Performs basic to moderate complexity geologic/seismic evaluations, fault rupture hazard and slope stability investigations, and hydrogeologic analysis for water supply, contaminant, and geotechnical assessments. Activities include data compilation, evaluation, and preparation of technical documentation. Contributes to firm knowledge management by developing white papers and technical design documentation, and submitting technical papers for publication.
Responsibilities
- Performs geologic/seismic evaluations, fault rupture hazard and slope stability investigations, and hydrogeologic analysis.
- Conducts aquifer test analysis, geochemical analysis, geotechnical analysis, and contaminant transport analysis.
- Performs well geologic logging, water sampling, surface geological mapping, aquifer testing, and soils characterization.
- Compiles and evaluates data.
- Prepares cross sections, isoconcentration maps, and QA/QC analysis.
- Develops draft evaluations and calculations for regulatory compliance.
- Ensures adherence to firm policies and practices.
- Contributes to firm's TKM by developing white papers and technical design documentation.
- Submits technical papers and designs for publishing.
- Attends conferences and symposia to improve firm visibility.
- Performs other duties as required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Science or related discipline.
- 1 year of related experience.
- Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
- An appropriate and valid driver's license is required.
Skills
- Intermediate knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices.
- Basic knowledge of scientific methods and processes.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
