About the Role
This role leads the Commercial Schemes strategy and trading plan, develops and grows a high-performing Schemes team, strengthens broker relationships, identifies new growth opportunities, and oversees portfolio performance, governance, and underwriting discipline. The role utilizes data, broker insight, and market trends to inform strategic decisions and collaborates across underwriting, pricing, claims, and distribution to achieve commercial success.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Commercial Schemes strategy and trading plan.
- Develop and grow a high-performing Schemes team.
- Strengthen broker relationships and identify new growth opportunities.
- Oversee portfolio performance, governance and underwriting discipline.
- Use data, broker insight and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
- Work across underwriting, pricing, claims and distribution to deliver commercial success.
Requirements
- Experience leading a commercial insurance, underwriting, trading, schemes or broker-facing team.
- Experience developing broker relationships and driving commercial growth.
- Strong commercial judgement and leadership capability.
- Experience using MI and portfolio data to drive performance.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- Applicants must currently reside in the UK and have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
- Maintaining high standards of conduct and behaviour is a core requirement of this role.
