About the Role
The Warranty Administrator reports to the Service Manager and is responsible for processing warranty claims, providing customer service, and ensuring all paperwork is accurate and complete. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with vendor requirements and efficient claim processing.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) regulations and the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
- Process warranty claims promptly, ensuring complete paperwork.
- Provide customer service for warranty inquiries and service.
- Verify factory or distributor criteria and maintain service/customer records.
- Reconcile warranty receivables with payments and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Track warranty parts by tagging with repair order number and date of replacement.
- Determine customer requirements per manufacturer's service policy and check warranty eligibility.
- Create, process, and close repair orders in the business system daily.
- Maintain a positive attitude and promote a healthy work environment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in Heavy Truck, Automotive, or related industry is preferred.
- Competency in customer service, administrative skills, team building, and software/computer proficiency.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Warranty experience is preferred.
- SAP experience is an asset.
- Must possess a Criminal Record Check.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and Drivers Abstract.
