About the Role
Cedar Bus Company LLC is seeking dedicated individuals to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of clients. This role involves adhering to safety regulations, assisting clients, and maintaining the cleanliness and operational readiness of the company's vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Ensure transportation and workplace safety policies comply with company, state, and federal regulations.
- Safely transport clients to and from programs in the mornings and afternoons.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the bus.
- Ensure the safety of all clients, including securing wheelchair-bound clients and operating the wheelchair lift.
- Keep routes updated and inform dispatch of any issues, such as schedule delays.
- Report all disciplinary issues to operations staff.
- Assist clients with boarding and disembarking the bus.
- Be flexible and assist with other routes as needed.
- Collaborate with drivers and operations staff as a team member.
- Attend periodic safety trainings.
- Secure client seatbelts and periodically check that clients remain buckled.
- Assist the driver with directions.
- Clean the bus during the duty shift.
- Complete run sheet data.
- Be dependable and punctual.
- Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor/Manager or their designee.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pull and push 250 lbs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend to secure wheelchair-bound clients.
- Ability to display empathy towards clients.
- Willingness to grow within the company.
