About the Role
We are looking for a Supply Planner to join Ferrero UK & Ireland, playing a critical role in ensuring product availability, optimal inventory levels, and freshness for customers. You will balance customer demand, inventory, and manufacturing constraints across iconic brands, manage inventory and replenishment plans, and collaborate with various teams to align supply plans with business needs. This role involves managing supply risks, supporting new product launches, coordinating range changes, and developing service protection plans. You will also drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels, inventory performance, and supply chain efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of inventory planning and replenishment activities for a portfolio of products.
- Ensure stock availability to meet customer demand while maintaining optimal inventory levels and freshness targets.
- Create and manage supply plans within defined planning constraints, balancing service, cost, and operational requirements.
- Ensure inventory is positioned effectively across the UK & Ireland network.
- Proactively identify and manage supply risks, shortages, and potential surplus stock.
- Develop mitigation plans and collaborate across functions to protect customer service levels and minimize waste.
- Support business-critical activities such as product launches, promotional events, range changes, and factory shutdowns.
- Coordinate planning activities across multiple stakeholders, ensuring supply plans are aligned and potential issues are identified and resolved promptly.
- Monitor and report supply chain performance, analyzing service, inventory, and supply metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and drive enhancements to planning processes, tools, and ways of working.
- Work closely with Demand Planning and Commercial teams to balance inventory across sales channels, manage constrained supply situations, and support business decision-making.
Requirements
- Highly analytical and organised Supply Planning professional.
- Experience operating within a fast-paced Supply Chain environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management, supply planning, and replenishment principles.
- Ability to balance competing priorities and make informed decisions in a dynamic environment.
- Comfortable working with large volumes of data.
- Advanced analytical skills.
- Strong Excel capability.
- Experience using planning systems such as SAP APO, SAP IBP, or similar supply chain planning tools.
- Ability to interpret complex information, identify risks, and translate data into actionable plans.
- Confident communicator who can build effective relationships across multiple functions.
- Ability to influence stakeholders at different levels of the organisation.
- Experience working within FMCG, Manufacturing, Food Production, or Retail Supply Chains is highly advantageous.
- Experience in environments where service, freshness, and inventory optimization are key business drivers is advantageous.
