About the Role
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be an integral part of our specialized services for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disabilities. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to support clients in achieving their therapy goals, empowering you to enrich lives and achieve amazing results.
Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, intervention, and treatment planning for clients with Autism Spectrum Disorders or other developmental disabilities.
- Employ a comprehensive range of Speech Pathology skills to maintain, develop, or augment oral motor or communicative functions.
- Utilize excellent interpersonal skills and excel in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team environment.
- Build a strong network by maintaining effective communication with clients, families/caregivers, community agencies, and service providers.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized School of Speech Language Pathology with at least 1 year of experience.
- Active membership in good standing with CASLPO.
- Passionate about the profession and committed to ongoing professional development.
- Willing to do some virtual work for SBRS.
- Knowledge of AAC.
- Open to travelling in the York and Toronto area for community work.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
