About the Role
Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated Destruction Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for the secure processing and destruction of sensitive materials while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational efficiency within a safety-conscious and collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process and destroy sensitive materials by emptying containers and shredding bins to meet customer security requirements.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to efficiently sort materials by grade and ensure the proper disposal of non-conforming items.
- Safely operate industrial machinery, including forklifts and Bobcat loaders, while strictly adhering to organizational safety policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a shredding, recycling, or warehousing environment.
- Proven ability to safely operate heavy machinery and industrial equipment such as forklifts.
- The strength and stamina to perform demanding tasks, including lifting heavy bags and maneuvering large wheeled bins.
- Comfort working consistently in a non-climate controlled industrial warehouse setting.
