About the Role
As Team Lead Training Academy (m/f/d), you are responsible for the professional and operational management of the FlixTrain Academy instructor team. You will report to the Head of Academy and ensure that locomotive driver training is conducted with the highest quality, regulatory compliance, and efficient organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 6 instructors (theory, practice, language, §14d TfV), including performance reviews, assessments, and onboarding.
- Maintain licenses and qualifications, identify and implement further training needs within the team.
- Conduct regular observations in theory and practice, evaluate them, and derive concrete measures.
- Provide technical support to the team and act as an escalation point for quality issues.
- Take overall responsibility for training organization (AO), ensure its currency and EBA compliance, and maintain all relevant training documents.
- Coordinate regularly with the examination organization management and ensure compliance with requirements according to §7 TfV para. 3.
- Ensure compliance and documentation according to IMS, DIN ISO 29993, and 21001, and support internal and external audits.
- Actively drive the further development of training content in close cooperation with the Training Development department.
- Select, manage, and monitor the quality of external training service providers, including market inquiries and tenders.
- Ensure that external partners comply with all regulatory requirements according to TfV and EBA.
Requirements
- Completed training as a locomotive driver.
- Instructor qualification according to §14 TfV.
- Sound knowledge of relevant regulations (TfV, EBA).
- Experience in team leadership or coordination in a training environment.
- Structured and independent work style.
- Experience in selecting and managing external service providers.
- Good understanding of contractual and qualitative requirements.
- Knowledge of DIN ISO 29993, 21001, and ISO 9001:2015 is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills.
