About the Role
The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention is seeking a Research Analyst to support studies, including clinical trials for mood disorders, by assisting with participant recruitment, data collection, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment, screening, and enrollment of study participants.
- Administer clinical and cognitive assessments/questionnaires.
- Collect and manage data.
- Maintain research documentation according to institutional and regulatory guidelines.
- Educate and disseminate information about studies to patients, families, and mental health professionals.
- Escort participants to study-related appointments.
- Transport samples.
- Maintain subject records.
- Assist with REB and other regulatory submissions.
- Support and contribute to a healthy workplace that embraces diversity, encourages teamwork and complies with all applicable regulatory and legislative requirements.
Requirements
- Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Excellent capacity for self-directed learning/working, requiring minimal supervision.
- Recruitment and enrolling participants into clinical research.
- Conducting screening, baseline and follow-up assessments in clinical trials.
- Administering research questionnaires.
- Data entry, previous experience with online data management systems is preferred.
- Data analysis and interpretation and/or using statistical software (SPSS/ SAS, etc.) may be required.
- Strong PC software skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), online academic search engines (e.g., PsycINFO, PubMed, Medline).
- Detail-oriented and able to exercise initiative and good judgment.
- Ability to multi-task and produce high-quality, accurate work while meeting deadlines and requirements.
- Superior interpersonal, communication (oral/written) and organizational skills.
- Experience in summarizing and presenting data for presentations is an asset.
- Bilingualism (French/English) or proficiency in a second language is an asset.
- Experience in working with individuals with addictions/or mental health challenges is considered an asset.
