About the Role
Product development at Nabla is organized into cross-functional squads, each owning a product area end to end. We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the Dictation squad, a critical product for clinician efficiency that strategically complements Nabla's ambient product. This role involves working at the intersection of ML, user experience, and customer success, focusing on interface, latency, error recovery, and user friction. You will extract insights from user feedback, support product rollouts in large health systems, and reason about model quality and evaluation. Regular visits to client sites in the US are expected to observe user workflows and identify areas for improvement. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys end-to-end product ownership, pays attention to detail, and is driven by clinician adoption.
Responsibilities
- Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Nabla Dictation product, and be accountable for its adoption and quality-of-life improvements for clinicians.
- Lead user-centric discovery through interviews, user feedback analysis, clinician shadowing, and usage data to identify and address friction points.
- Collaborate daily with ML, backend, and frontend engineers to transform model capabilities into an essential clinician tool, balancing quality, latency, cost, and time to market.
- Partner with Design to create a simple user experience, including handling edge cases and failure paths.
- Support product deployment with clients, including enterprise health systems, by building relationships with champions and keeping stakeholders informed.
- Define success metrics, including model performance, adoption, retention, and support burden, to set the quality bar.
- Prioritize effectively between ambitious initiatives and incremental improvements, clearly articulating the rationale behind decisions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of product management experience in a technical or engineering-heavy environment.
- Experience working closely with ML teams on products where model quality drives user value.
- Comfort discussing evaluation, quality metrics, and iteration loops with ML engineers.
- Strong user empathy and a deep understanding of user workflows, with a proven ability to remove accepted friction points.
- Excellent product judgment and UX sensibility, with a track record of identifying high-value problems and shipping impactful improvements.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and earn credibility from frontend, backend, and ML engineers.
- Strong analytical skills, including defining success metrics, analyzing product data, and combining qualitative and quantitative evidence.
- Clear, structured communication skills, capable of explaining trade-offs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with incomplete information, competing priorities, and high ownership.
- Based in our Paris office.
- Regular travel to client sites in the US.
- Full professional fluency in English.
- French language proficiency is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare, or in another regulated or safety-critical industry is a plus.
- Experience with speech, real-time, or other latency-sensitive products is a plus.
- Prior software engineering experience, or the ability to write scripts and reason about system logs, API schemas, and data models is a plus.
- Experience with B2B products used daily in demanding frontline workflows is a plus.
- Experience building for the US market is a plus.
