Responsibilities

  • Prepare beverages according to customer specifications, including coffee, tea, and espresso.
  • Serve guests using principles of outstanding customer service.
  • Maintain stock levels of items within the micro market, including milk and cold beverages.
  • Complete assigned side duties in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Organize chairs within the lounge and seating areas.
  • Sanitize all high touchpoint surfaces every two hours, or when visibly soiled.
  • Refill the coffee machine hopper with coffee beans.
  • Check, clean, and refill the condiment station.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including washing, rinsing, and sanitizing smallwares, cleaning display cases, and rinsing the espresso machine.
  • Maintain accurate records of discarded or diverted items.
  • Keep items stocked based on sales volume.
  • Use the WALTER clock to sign in and out for the assigned shift.
  • Follow all Optimum Service Training techniques to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Act with purpose and intention using effective time management skills.
  • Interact with customers and resolve complaints politely and promptly.
  • Use the Volante system to record sales and transactions, including payment.
  • Check all items within the assigned area for expiration weekly and remove items past their best before date, following FIFO and FEFO procedures.
  • Complete fridge/freezer temperature checks and other HSQA logs.
  • Replenish non-alcoholic beverages and general supplies while maintaining cleanliness of service areas.
  • Interact with co-workers to ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
  • Follow all uniform and jewelry policies.
  • Follow all health and safety and quality assurance company policies.
  • Complete 24/7 training within one month of start date, and annually thereafter.

Requirements

  • Must be bondable.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, follow instructions and interact with customers and co-workers to assure customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write fluently in English.
  • Regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to walk.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Education Level
