About the Role
This is a hands-on, high-visibility role where you will serve as the technical bridge between customer needs and our engineering/R&D teams. You will design and build custom applications using Fortaegis technology, maintain demo/PoC platforms, and act as a trusted technical advisor in customer interactions.
Responsibilities
- Understand customer network environments, security requirements, and integration constraints, translating them into technical requirements.
- Design, build, and maintain custom applications and integrations on Fortaegis technology for specific customer use cases.
- Build and maintain demo and proof-of-concept platforms for customer evaluations and sales.
- Act as the technical liaison between Product, Core Engineering, and R&D, providing field insights and engineering context.
- Support pre-sales and post-sales technical engagements, including solution scoping, demos, PoC execution, and troubleshooting.
- Own the technical relationship through deployment, from discovery to integration, testing, and go-live support.
- Produce clear technical documentation for solutions to ensure repeatability and supportability.
- Provide feedback on product gaps, edge cases, and feature requests to Product and R&D.
Requirements
- Software engineering experience, with exposure to embedded systems (firmware, low-level networking, hardware-software interfaces).
- Strong fundamentals in networking concepts (L2/L3, Ethernet, IP, NAT, VLANs, routing/switching).
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers, including technical discovery, solutioning, troubleshooting, or deployment support.
- Ability to build and maintain end-to-end applications with production-quality code.
- Strong communication skills, capable of translating between customer, product, and engineering perspectives.
- Self-directed and comfortable with ambiguity, able to define scope in a cross-functional role.
