About the Role
SAIC is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in San Diego, CA, requiring a high level of experience in JavaScript, React, and Linux (RHEL), with a strong background in Web Experience. An ACTIVE SECRET clearance is mandatory for this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform software engineering design and development activities to produce reliable, modular, and secure software components.
- Develop software on a RHEL OS platform.
- Engage in software development with custom C++ based applications, X windows-based applications, and web-based middleware.
- Conduct application writing and policy development for security accreditations.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree and nine years or more experience, or Masters degree and seven years or more experience. Additional years of experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance after start.
- Familiarity with Linux (RHEL).
- Experience with front-end technologies: JavaScript, React, CSS3, HTML5, and third-party libraries such as React Js, Angular, jQuery, and LESS.
- Strong Web experience.
- Industry experience designing, building, and maintaining large-scale systems in production.
- Experience working with Nginx or Apache servers with a solid background in Linux.
- Familiarity with DBMS technology, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and MySQL.
- Basic design ability, including knowledge of UI/UX and basic prototype design.
- Excellent understanding of low-level operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking and storage, performance, and scale.
- Ability to visualize a proposed system and build it.
