About the Role

Actively support daily housekeeping operations to ensure cleanliness standards are met. Inspect guest rooms and public areas after cleaning, monitor room status, and assist in prioritizing cleaning needs. Provide real-time support to housekeeping associates and coordinate daily tasks with other departments. Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating staff. Ensure adherence to company and safety policies, and provide excellent guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily housekeeping operations and ensure cleanliness standards are met.
  • Inspect guest rooms, corridors, and public areas after cleaning to verify quality standards.
  • Monitor room status, identify discrepancies, prioritize cleaning needs, and update room status.
  • Maintain a visible presence on guest room floors, offering real-time support to housekeeping associates.
  • Coordinate daily tasks and act as a liaison between housekeeping and other departments.
  • Report and resolve issues with discrepant rooms in coordination with the Front Office.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of room assignments.
  • Ensure smooth shift transitions by communicating outstanding issues to the next shift.
  • Complete required shift paperwork and documentation.
  • Assist management in hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
  • Complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.

  • Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats.

  • Report work-related accidents or injuries immediately.
  • Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions.

  • Identify room assignments and type of cleaning required.
  • Complete required Housekeeping paperwork.
  • Document and report outstanding issues to the manager/supervisor after shift.
  • Use checklists to ensure cleanliness and condition meet standards.
  • Select appropriate cleaning chemicals and necessary personal protective equipment.
  • Complete incident reports for any incidents or accidents.
  • Enter guest rooms following procedures for gaining access.
  • Report missing hotel/resort property and damages to rooms.
  • Inspect guest rooms after being cleaned by Housekeeper.
  • Inspect public areas/bathrooms, restaurants, fitness center, offices, and service areas after cleaning.
  • Verify room status listed on report, determine discrepant rooms, prioritize room cleaning, and update status of departing guest rooms.
  • Check and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk.
  • Assist Housekeeping management and Housekeeping Supervisor in managing daily activities.
  • Communicate additions or changes to room assignments to Housekeeping staff.
  • Run reports to determine how many rooms are sold for each day.
  • Prepare and distribute room assignments to Housekeeping staff.
  • Close out house at the end of shift and communicate issues to the next shift.

Requirements
