Large food manufacturer seeks applicants for production/sanitation areas. Production Support - Bag Room. All qualified, responsible applicants are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Unload, sort, and load empty milk crates.
- Set up, operate, and clean equipment for dairy and non-dairy products.
- Perform all required operating procedures.
- Sort and bag empty plastic containers.
- Perform introductory machine operating and troubleshooting.
- Load bags onto a truck using a dolly.
- Unbag bottles if needed for transport to other departments.
- Maintain area cleanliness, report out-of-spec product, and participate in waste reduction.
- Operate a pallet loader and resolve minor machine issues.
- Place items in carts and trays for pallet building, correct bottle orientation, and ensure proper output of assembled pallets.
- Maintain production schedule, meet order expectations, and monitor variances.
- Maintain tidiness and sanitation inside and outside the facility.
- Maintain and follow checklists for Production Support and Sanitation Roles.
- Follow all safety requirements including housekeeping, Lock Out/Tag Out, and PPE.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, NYSDA, PMO, FDA, and assist in maintaining SQF readiness and HACCP.
Requirements
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background and physical/drug screen.
- Must be able to work weekends and Holidays.
- Ability to meet qualification card training plans.
- Perform all job duties in a safe and compliant manner.
- Operate in varied temperature ranges.
- Ability to be flexible within the work area to operate various production equipment.
- Ability to keep up with physical demands including standing/walking for long periods, stooping, bending, climbing, lifting, and pulling.
- Engage in open communication with a growth mindset, maintaining a positive and respectful attitude.
