About the Role
Joining a global Corporate Finance team, the FP&A Junior Analyst will be based in our New York office and support all of Kobalt’s business units in planning and budgeting. This position will report to the Senior Manager, Corporate Finance with oversight from the VP and EVP of finance based in London. You will help drive the business through regular forecasting and analysis with a focus on revenue and margin – creating and developing financing models, providing insight into revenue performance, and carrying out ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
Responsibilities
- Support delivery of regular weekly/monthly/quarterly management reporting deliverables.
- Capture detailed notes during weekly and monthly business calls and summarize takeaways.
- Improve and integrate data across multiple systems and departments using SQL to increase reliability, accuracy, and usefulness of reporting.
- Maintain revenue and margin models across actuals, budget, and forecast figures.
- Adopt new tools to assist with process improvements.
- Respond to ad-hoc requests for financial analysis.
Requirements
- A strong interest in music and a desire to make the industry more fair and rewarding for creators.
- Proficiency in Excel (SUMIFS, INDEXMATCH, IFS).
- Comfortable asking questions and forming opinions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, ensuring clear and accurate presentation of findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks, data inputs, and stakeholders within tight deadlines in a highly productive environment.
- An interest in automation, process optimisation, or using tech tools to improve workflows.
- Time Management & Prioritisation: Effectively manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, staying organized and focused under pressure.
- Collaboration & Teamwork: Work well across teams and functions, communicating clearly and supporting collective goals to deliver high-quality outcomes.
