About the Role
The Syracuse City School District is seeking a dedicated and diverse team of educators to partner in moving the district toward its goals of ensuring all students graduate high school ready for college and career. The district serves approximately 19,000 students Pre-K–12 across 35 schools and programs.
Responsibilities
- Serve as Girls Varsity Wrestling Head Coach for PSLA (Winter 2026).
- Develop student athletes' skills, discipline, and sportsmanship.
- Prepare student athletes for high school competition.
- Foster academics, goal setting, teamwork, leadership, and sportsmanship at the high school level.
Requirements
- Must possess New York State Coaching Certification.
- Must have a valid First Aid course.
- Must have valid Adult CPR certification.
- Must have completed the Child Abuse Identification workshop.
- Must have completed the School Violence Intervention and Prevention workshop.
- Must have completed the Dignity For All Students Act (DASA) workshop.
- Must have Fingerprint Clearance.
- Must have a School District Recommendation.
- Must pass a fingerprint-based background check ($102.50 cost to candidate).

- Salary per Unit 1 contract, prorated per length of season.
