About the Role
As a Security Consultant, you will help clients prepare for, mitigate, detect, and respond to cybersecurity threats. You will leverage your understanding of computer science, networking, cloud services, and corporate environments to address cyber security challenges. This role involves assisting clients with complex incidents, performing forensic analysis, threat hunting, malware triage, and emulating attack techniques to improve defenses. You will act as a technical advocate for information security, articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences, and lead complex engagements with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Own client relationships during engagement delivery and own engagement outcomes for all consulting engagements, including quality delivery, project economics, and client experience.
- Conduct sessions for technology leaders and executives on security trends, relevant industry risks, and investigation learnings.
- Understand and qualify client needs and concerns, identifying opportunities to assist them with consulting services.
- Build and manage a sustainable pipeline of opportunities for the Mandiant consulting business through local sales leadership, sales specialists, representatives, and channel partners.
- Engage with C-level, business, technology, and security leadership to assess their cybersecurity confidence.
- Share Mandiant’s frontline experience and thought leadership to influence and shape client perceptions.
- Support sales in building a strong and sustainable pipeline of opportunities.
- Respond to inbound calls for cybersecurity support.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- Certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- 8 years of experience in delivering cybersecurity consulting services.
- 7 years of experience with executive, business development, market growth, and client relationship management.
- Ability to communicate in Japanese and English fluently to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience articulating security and risk concepts to all audiences, including executives.
- Experience in driving consulting business generation with local business leadership and external contacts.
- Experience in performing engagement enablement, including scoping, structuring customized engagements, proposal writing, and drafting statements of work.
- Ability to manage expectations and build rapport with clients, at executive and C-levels.
- Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute methodically, engaging with teams to deliver quality client experiences.
