About the Role
ALM Analyst to support daily and ad hoc ALM requests, as well as regular weekly information for asset and liability decisions. This is a hands-on analytical role for someone who enjoys dependable delivery, can spot when numbers do not look right, and wants to improve reporting production.
Responsibilities
- Run the regular weekly ALM MI process and respond accurately to daily or ad hoc ALM requests.
- Check outputs for reasonableness and escalate unusual or unexpected results.
- Prepare concise analysis and commentary on key movements.
- Support what-if analysis for trades, new assets, new PRT schemes, and reinsurance activity.
- Maintain reporting controls, methodology, and process documentation.
- Troubleshoot data, model, and process issues with senior support.
- Contribute to automation and technology-enabled reporting improvements.
- Communicate delivery status, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
Requirements
- Experience delivering recurring analytical, finance, or reporting outputs to firm deadlines.
- Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
- Evidence of checking results for reasonableness and escalating issues.
- A practical approach to troubleshooting and solving process problems.
- Comfort working with code, models, or automated workflows.
- Clear communication with colleagues across different specialist teams.
- Attention to detail, ownership, and curiosity.
- Interest in ALM, investments, risk, insurance, or pensions.
