About the Role
This role involves loading and delivering food, supplies, and other products to various locations. You will also be responsible for food handling and preparation, ensuring sanitation and safety guidelines are followed, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Assemble and deliver all supplies to the scheduled locations
- Ensure that truck/vehicle is properly loaded with all products required to properly service all scheduled deliveries prior to beginning each day’s route
- Unload requested products at delivery site
- Collect empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise
- Return items such as unused food and beverages, serving equipment and utensils
- Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment
- Keep company vehicle clean and organized at all times; perform pre & post trip vehicle inspections
- Perform food handling and preparation including baking, cutting and assembling food items for service
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- A valid driver's license and good driving record is required
- Must have a valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
- Must have the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Physical ability to carry out duties of the position
