About the Role
Modo Energy is seeking a Nordic Market Analyst to establish and own the company's coverage of Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway. This role involves publishing research, building benchmarks, and integrating Nordic markets into forecast models, focusing primarily on battery energy storage, solar, and wind.
Responsibilities
- Train AI analyst on Nordic markets by ingesting new datasets and building sample queries.
- Publish research on Nordic BESS revenues, buildout, and market design.
- Map and automate data from key Nordic energy organizations for repeatable coverage.
- Build a grid-scale BESS asset and capacity register for the region.
- Develop and deploy Nordic benchmarks to customers via the Modo Energy Terminal.
- Integrate Nordic markets into the forecast product and advise on modeling priorities.
- Serve as the primary customer contact for Nordic markets and build a public profile in the region.
Requirements
- Comfortable building tools and workflows using AI.
- 2+ years of relevant experience in power markets, energy analytics, data, or a technical analyst role.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL, with the ability to interrogate complex datasets and learn new tools.
- Familiarity with battery energy storage or wider energy transition themes.
- Strong written communication skills with an answer-first approach.
- Ability to own a market with minimal supervision.
