About the Role
Manage your own caseload of apprentices, delivering engaging coaching sessions, workshops, and progress reviews. Ensure learners receive structured, compliant support to succeed. Combine technical coaching, training delivery, assessment, curriculum development, and learner support. Help learners build technical knowledge, apply it effectively, and stay on track. Maintain accurate learner records, mark and assess work, set development targets, and support English and maths. Ensure programmes comply with DfE funding rules, apprenticeship standards, safeguarding, Prevent requirements, Ofsted expectations, and internal quality standards. Influence programme development by shaping curriculum content, maintaining industry links, supporting employer engagement, improving processes, and enhancing the learner experience.

Requirements
- A Level 5 qualification, or equivalent industry experience, within a relevant digital or technology discipline
- Level 2 English and Maths, or equivalent
- Proven experience coaching, training, or assessing apprentices or learners within a digital or technology subject
- Experience delivering teaching, learning, or assessment within an apprenticeship programme
- Experience managing a learner caseload, including progress tracking, target-setting, and progress reviews
- Current, up-to-date technical knowledge relevant to the apprenticeship standards being delivered
- A strong understanding of safeguarding, Prevent, and learner welfare responsibilities within an apprenticeship or further education environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence delivering engaging technical training and explaining complex concepts clearly
- Confidence using digital platforms and the ability to learn learner management, e-portfolio, and MIS systems
- A willingness to work towards a recognised teaching qualification, such as the Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training, within an agreed timeframe if not already held
- The right to work in the UK
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Willingness and ability to travel to employer or placement sites when required
- A recognised teaching qualification such as a Level 5 DET, Cert Ed, PGCE or QTLS status (Desirable)
- A recognised assessor qualification such as TAQA or CAVA, or currently working towards one (Desirable)
- Relevant industry or vendor certifications such as AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Scrum or Agile (Desirable)
- Previous hands-on experience working within a technical role outside of teaching or training, for example as a developer, technician, engineer or IT professional (Desirable)
- Experience working directly with employers to align workplace learning with apprenticeship standards (Desirable)
- Experience supporting learners with additional learning needs or embedding English and maths within vocational learning (Desirable)
- Experience using learner management or e-portfolio systems such as Smart Assessor, OneFile, Aptem or similar (Desirable)
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport (Desirable)
- Knowledge of AI and how it is being implemented across organisations (Desirable)
- The ability to work autonomously and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of a new apprenticeship offering (Desirable)
- A genuine passion for supporting learners throughout their apprenticeship journey and keeping up to date with developments in technology and industry practice (Desirable)
