About the Role
Datadog's Staff Engineers are technical leaders who build solutions for future growth. They contribute as individual coders, lead architectural design, and participate in the staff engineering community to improve company-wide standards.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver technology for next-generation products.
- Coach and develop engineers at various levels.
- Lead redesigns of significant parts of the Datadog product and website.
- Own core customer experiences, including the first-time user experience.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- 4+ years of technical leadership experience, including effective communication and cross-team coordination.
- Experience running a high volume of experimentation and iteration cycles (A/B testing).
- Strong UI/UX intuition and ability to collaborate with product design and management.
- Experience leading development of high-complexity, high-performance interactive browser applications, including architecture, interaction design, and optimization.
- Ability to adapt best practices from software engineering to the frontend environment.
