About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Azure Engineer to design, build, migrate, and support secure, reliable, and scalable cloud solutions within Microsoft Azure. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering cloud transformation initiatives, infrastructure-as-code implementations, disaster recovery solutions, and platform modernization programs. Working within agile, multidisciplinary teams, you will provide technical leadership across the Azure estate, helping to automate infrastructure deployment, improve operational excellence, and support business-critical cloud services. You will be comfortable engaging with stakeholders, contributing to technical strategy, and mentoring engineers while maintaining a hands-on approach to engineering delivery.
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and support Azure infrastructure solutions.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Bicep.
- Build and manage Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
- Deliver Azure migration activities and workload onboarding.
- Implement and support Azure Site Recovery (ASR) and disaster recovery testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Azure, Linux, and infrastructure issues.
- Automate operational tasks using shell scripting and platform tooling.
- Produce technical documentation and operational runbooks.
- Work within Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to sprint delivery.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practice.
Requirements
- Strong Azure infrastructure engineering experience.
- Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep.
- Experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Strong YAML pipeline development experience.
- Experience delivering Azure migration projects.
- Hands-on experience with Azure Site Recovery (ASR).
- Experience supporting production Azure environments.
- Linux server administration experience.
- Shell scripting (Bash).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.
- Understanding of Azure networking, security, and identity services.
- Experience troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Must have or be willing to undergo Security Clearance.
- Must complete a Baseline Personnel Security Standard as part of onboarding.
