About the Role

Serves as the discipline leader for marketing, partnering closely with Sales and Revenue Management to develop overarching strategies. Responsible for creating and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with hotel goals to drive revenue and achieve RevPar/share-of-wallet goals. Manages digital presence, including property website, third-party channels, and social media, while maintaining brand integrity. Identifies incremental marketing opportunities and articulates campaign performance to leadership and ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Develops overarching marketing strategy and budgets aligned with business priorities.
  • Participates in Sales Strategy Meetings to present marketing strategy and implementation.
  • Reconciles marketing plan monthly with accruals and forecast.
  • Leads repositioning efforts in partnership with Area Team, GM, and hotel executive team.
  • Serves as brand guardian, verifying all marketing reflects brand voice.
  • Leads and/or partners with Hotel Operations to conceptualize/execute property-level Programming and Activation.
  • Leads the strategic pull-through of continent and brand promotions and campaigns.
  • Partners with Revenue Management to develop and execute promotional strategy.
  • Develops and manages property email marketing, digital strategy, and paid media campaigns.
  • Supports group lead generation efforts.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and articulates key marketing reports to stakeholders and owners, adjusting strategy accordingly.
  • Manages internal and external partners to ensure deliverables support hotel strategy.
  • Develops and oversees/executes annual digital marketing plan, partnership, and marketing strategies.
  • Manages OTA Strategy in collaboration with Revenue Management.
  • Monitors and provides recommendations for SEO.
  • Identifies digital marketing opportunities on third-party and local partner sites.
  • Sets overarching messaging strategy aligned with positioning.
  • Manages Marriott.com content, OTA Content, and Third-Party and Group Sites content.
  • Manages photography distribution.
  • Creates landing pages and Discovery Pages.
  • Manages guest communications.
  • Sets overarching partnership strategy.
  • Identifies and cultivates partnerships.
  • Manages cluster marketing strategies.
  • Maintains engagement with Area Directors of Marketing to communicate recommendations and next steps.
  • Sets overarching PR strategy, outlining goals, pitch angles, and target segments.
  • Manages PR agency or PR messaging.
  • Manages execution of PR events and promotions.
  • Identifies outlet marketing opportunities.
  • Defines in-house F&B programming and manages execution.
  • Sets overarching social media strategy, outlining goals and target segments.
  • Develops and implements social strategy.
  • Manages paid social media budget and strategy.
  • Assists in reviewing social media content calendars and collecting local events.
  • Leads, owns, and directs asset development including collateral and photoshoots.
  • Effectively measures and communicates success of campaigns and digital performance.
  • Creates and maintains strong relationships and negotiation skills with key partners.
  • Manages development and design of hotel collateral.
  • Completes other reasonable duties as requested by leadership.

Requirements

  • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related major; 3 years' experience in Marketing or a comparable professional area.
  • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related major; 1 year experience in Marketing or a comparable professional area.
