About the Role
CPL is seeking students eager to gain hands-on experience in civil engineering through an internship program. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate with professionals, contribute to impactful projects, and develop practical skills in a nationally recognized Architecture & Engineering firm. The position is ideal for those seeking a co-op opportunity, with a target start in January and potential continuation through the summer.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate in the conceptual planning and design of civil engineering projects, including water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, wastewater treatment, stormwater management, and site development.
- Prepare and revise engineering drawings, concept plans, and figures using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist with design calculations using both manual methods and modeling software (e.g., HydroCAD, WaterCAD).
- Support projects in Infrastructure, wastewater, transportation, or other areas.
- Support the preparation of technical reports and applications.
- Assist with construction administration responsibilities, including reviewing product submittals and responding to requests for information.
- Conduct site visits during the design and construction phases to assess onsite conditions and construction progress.
