Responsibilities
- Lead team in development and operational tasks and processes within the designated Retail branch.
- Direct, motivate, and develop the team to successfully attain goals and ensure all service standards are adhered to.
- Create a work environment where employees are engaged, encouraging ownership of professional growth and team collaboration.
- Demonstrate understanding of HFCU’s Mission, Vision and Core Values, and expertise in HFCU’s products and services.
- Provide guidance and support for each team member utilizing HFCU’s Employee Performance Program.
- Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback and coaching.
- Manage employee relation issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Support HFCU initiatives for employee development and team engagement.
- Develop an appropriate succession plan and support recruiting in the hiring process.
- Communicate effectively with department leaders and peers.
- Facilitate communication of necessary information with the team.
- Ensure member service standards are met through effective coaching and development.
- Handle member concerns and complaints professionally and supportively, escalating with recommended solutions.
- Collaborate with departments to enhance member service.
- Utilize tools and resources to analyze branch trends, identify growth opportunities, and recommend solutions.
- Assess branch trends to make effective recommendations for annual headcount.
- Assume complete responsibility for all areas of branch management and day-to-day operations.
- Support and function in all branch positions as needed.
- Proactively plan activities to aid in the attainment of monthly goals.
- Prospect and visit local businesses for brand awareness and to meet business and commercial goals.
- Participate in community involvement to develop relationships with community leaders.
- Oversee the branch’s monthly financial budget and manage expenses.
- Analyze and make recommendations around managing branch profitability.
- Develop a sales service plan to help the branch meet goals and pivot as business needs change.
- Look for operational enhancements and share findings with leadership.
- Maintain a safe and sound work environment adhering to all audit and security expectations.
- Participate in organizational team projects.
- Mentor and support new branch managers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and/or a comparable combination of education and experience.
- Notary License required or within 6 months of hire.
- Working knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements.
- 3+ years as a Branch Manager with Business Development is essential.
- Experience with outbound calling/prospecting and visiting local businesses.
- Experience understanding business and commercial products.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Extensive financial industry experience, including cash handling, customer service, needs-based selling, goal attainment, employee leadership and development, project and team participation, and community development.
- Ability to think critically and creatively to problem-solve and build business plans.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with direct team, department leaders, and line of business partners.
- Self-awareness, discipline, and a strong desire to learn and contribute.
- Focus on customer service and lead by example.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Highly organized with time and team management skills.
- Eagerness to grow the branch network and develop teams.
