About the Role

Join an interdisciplinary engineering team passionate about driving technical planning, development, and implementation of innovative energy projects. Contribute to future-oriented solutions for the energy transition, customers, and society.

Responsibilities

Create layout plans for power plant projects in the preliminary and design phases (2D/3D), including overall site and installation plans.
Plan the integration of all infrastructural connections (e.g., district heating, electricity, fuel, water, wastewater).
Define internal and external interfaces with the interface manager within the scope of responsibility.
Ensure planned construction site logistics, including site setup concepts, logistics concepts, and construction phase plans.
Develop requirements for various drawing and plan types.
Act as the interface between disciplines (process engineering, mechanical and plant engineering, electrical engineering, control engineering, communication and security technology).
Translate specific technical requirements into construction planning (structural engineering).
Contribute to the creation of project-phase-dependent documents (technical final reports, presentations, meeting minutes, schedules, etc.), cost estimates, and approval documents.
Participate in project meetings and negotiations.
Create task descriptions for commissioning external planning services within the scope of concept and design planning.
Support and provide discipline-specific leadership for external employees and planning offices.
Prepare AOP-specific tender passages for realization.
Evaluate offers and prepare award recommendations.
Support and review the contractor's execution planning ('3D-Model review') regarding constructability, occupational health and safety (fire protection plans, escape and rescue routes, ATEX, BetrSichV, GasHDrLtgV, etc.), and maintenance.
Assist in organizing the as-built inspection for the entire plant.
Participate in cross-project and cross-departmental experience exchanges.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of company-specific plant engineering quality standards.
Participate in the standardization and optimization of existing planning processes.

Requirements

Completed university, college, or technical college degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, civil engineering, or a comparable field.
Personal experience in the planning, procurement, and erection of power plant facilities.
Many years of experience in layout engineering and/or project management.
Proficient in AUTOCAD and 3D planning software, with knowledge of BIM.
Sound, cross-disciplinary knowledge of components in thermal power plants and heat generation facilities.
Very good knowledge of layout planning for power plant components.
Experience in the erection of power plant facilities and knowledge of maintenance requirements.
Sound knowledge of legal requirements, particularly in fire protection and occupational health and safety.
Knowledge of relevant technical standards and guidelines in the energy industry (e.g., VGB), as well as ATEX, BetrSichV, GasHDrLtgV, etc.
Experience with the Power Plant Coding System (KKS).
Strong assertiveness, independence, and a structured way of working.
Good analytical skills.
High team and communication competence.
Strong sense of responsibility, negotiation skills, willingness to compromise, and initiative.
Fluent German (at least C1 level) as the primary language of work.
Negotiation-level English skills.
Willingness to apply even if fulfilling approximately 70% of the requirements.
