About the Role
We are looking for individuals with a background in journalism, economics, politics, or media and communications to join our dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to innovative and independent journalism, gain hands-on experience in a newsroom environment, and actively shape the future of independent journalism in Germany.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in editorial conferences and support topic ideation.
- Learn the daily routines of our editorial department.
- Independently research and write engaging articles on politics and economics for our formats.
- Actively contribute own ideas and research them independently and thoroughly.
- Work in close collaboration with other editors.
- Gain exposure to all areas of the Pioneer editorial department.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or have completed a degree in journalism, economics, politics, media, or communications.
- Passion for online journalism, news, and current events.
- Strong general knowledge, particularly in political and economic topics.
- Enthusiasm for a digital and dynamic work environment.
- Ability to identify with our content.
- Flexible with time availability.
- Demonstrated initiative and a proactive, structured work approach.
- Previous experience in research and writing is ideal.
- Eagerness to contribute ideas, delve into topics, and be an active part of the editorial team.
