About the Role
The Community Liaison serves as the primary point of contact between the organization and the community to support clinical trial recruitment. This role identifies and engages prospective participants, conducts outreach, and guides candidates through early enrollment stages.
Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment for multiple clinical trials simultaneously.
- Adhere to Practice Guidelines (PG).
- Adhere to Good Clinical Practices (GCP) and study protocols.
- Request and follow up on medical records from treatment facilities.
- Maintain patient files securely.
- Promote the safety and well-being of study subjects.
- Communicate with physicians, study coordinators, and boarding care providers.
- Discuss study protocols and answer subject questions.
- Return calls to potential study subjects.
- Travel to subject homes to perform assessments.
- Drive study subjects from Dallas to Austin 1-2 times per week.
Requirements
- Able to read, analyze, and interpret protocols and medical records.
- Able to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, staff, and patients.
- Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and applicable regulations for human subject protection and clinical research.
- Knowledge of EMR systems.
- Able to function independently and as part of a team.
- Able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 20 pounds.
- Maintain a valid Texas Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
- Demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail.
- Possess excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrate patience and compassion when working with patients with mental health diagnoses.
