About the Role

As a senior presence on the floor of Delano London's Lana Lusa restaurant, you will lead by example, creating a polished, warm, intuitive, and personality-driven service style. This role is crucial in shaping the guest experience from the very beginning of this iconic brand's London chapter.

Responsibilities

Lead a section during service, setting the standard for pace, detail, and genuine hospitality.
Welcome and engage guests confidently, adapting service style to be personal.
Own the full dining journey, from menu guidance to guest farewell.
Develop strong food, wine, and beverage knowledge to make recommendations and drive average spend.
Support wine service and introduce guests to the wine list and cellar selection.
Coordinate with Culinary, bar, and runners for accurate orders, smooth pacing, and excellent table maintenance.
Lead pre-service mise en place, section checks, and briefings.
Coach junior team members and support training and onboarding.
Recognize VIPs, regulars, celebrations, allergies, and special requests.
Handle initial guest concerns confidently and involve management when appropriate.
Support Private Dining, Room Service, or other Food & Beverage areas as needed.
Follow all food safety, Health & Safety, cash handling, and company procedures.

Requirements

Strong senior waiter/waitress or head waiter/waitress experience in a premium restaurant, luxury hotel, or high-quality lifestyle operation.
Natural host with excellent communication skills and confident, polished floor presence.
Strong food and beverage knowledge, including a good understanding of wine and classic service techniques.
Enjoyment in developing others and comfort in giving direction with warmth and teamwork.
Organized, attentive, and able to manage multiple tables and priorities without rushing service.
Commercial instinct and comfort in recommending and selling in a genuine, guest-led way.
Flexibility to work breakfast, evenings, weekends, and key hospitality moments.
