About the Role

This internship offers a comprehensive insight into the work of Special Olympics Germany (SOD), particularly in the areas of Sports & Education. You will gain experience in event planning, educational material development, participant management, and administrative processes within a dynamic sports organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, organization, and execution of events for sports development (training courses and exchange formats) and educational events across over 30 sports.
  • Assist in the development and provision of educational materials and training guides, including online learning platforms.
  • Provide support in participant management, the SOD Startpass, and other administrative processes.
  • Offer assistance at sports events or events for the TeamSOD.
  • Gain insights into school sports, Young Athletes, and the prevention of interpersonal violence.

Requirements

  • Prior knowledge in at least one of the following fields: Sports Science, Sports Management, Rehabilitation Sciences, or Special Education.
  • Sensitivity and a sense of responsibility when working with individuals with intellectual and multiple disabilities.
  • Proficiency in using MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Enjoyment of independent work and reliability.
