About the Role
E&C advises international companies on electricity and natural gas risk management, providing proactive advice on hedging decisions. We are seeking an energy risk manager to analyze markets and guide clients on fixing and unfixing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Analyze global energy markets daily and assess implications for North American clients.
- Review and validate hedge recommendations generated by the ePoint system.
- Execute hedge recommendations using the hedge recommendation tool.
- Communicate market evolutions and recommendations to clients and consultants.
- Assist clients with the administrative execution of their decisions to fix or unfix prices.
- Evaluate and negotiate OTC price quotes for clients to secure better prices.
- Track all activities in the ePoint system for data analysis.
- Conduct fundamental analysis of energy markets on low-hedging activity days for market reports, white papers, and other content.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, energy, business management, or a related field.
- C1 level English proficiency.
- Experience in the energy market is a plus.
- Keen interest in energy markets is essential.
- Ability to thrive on market fluctuations.
- Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Accountable, able to work independently, set goals, and achieve them.
- Decisive, able to act adequately and quickly, and comfortable with calculated risks.
- Proficient in analyzing data and synthesizing information.
- Authorization to process personal data for recruitment purposes.
