About the Role

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the Accounting and Financial Reporting functions for Brookfield Infrastructure Group's Corporate Advisor entity. This role involves collaboration with private funds and other finance and investment professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Review cost allocations and invoice coding for global deal, public company, Advisor, and portfolio company costs.
  • Monitor payment journals for Infrastructure paying entities and resolve invoice disputes.
  • Oversee the monthly invoicing process, utilizing Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Coordinate with the private funds team for timely reimbursements.
  • Manage daily journal entries and bank reconciliations in Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Oversee intercompany reconciliation, settlements, and reimbursements.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Assist with ad-hoc assignments for senior personnel and stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly HST return filings.
  • Compile information for annual corporate tax returns and audit queries.
  • Prepare financial results, reporting packages, and financial statements.
  • Calculate and compile private fund management fees.
  • Prepare fund flows and other analyses for senior management.

Requirements

  • CPA designation completed.
  • Three to five years of experience in corporate accounting or an audit firm, preferably in financial services or asset management.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Very strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and proactive in managing workload and professional development.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, with a focus on Excel.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an asset.
