About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Cloud Sales Representative (CSR) to join the Cloud Sales Center (CSC) team in Australia. This role focuses on accelerating AWS service adoption within a designated territory of named accounts, acting as the territory's CEO to drive revenue and market penetration. You will engage with existing AWS users and new prospects, leveraging both sales and technical expertise to connect with IT Managers and Technical Decision Makers. The position requires a self-starter capable of developing and executing a territory plan to meet quarterly revenue targets, contributing to the growth of cloud computing in Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Create and execute a Territory Sales Plan (TSP) to achieve annual revenue quota and Management by Objective (MBO) goals.
  • Build a programmatic and repeatable motion to generate qualified pipeline across new and existing customers.
  • Manage full sales cycles including prospecting, discovery, demos, building business cases, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Work closely with Scale Partners to define engagement strategies and co-sell through AWS partners.
  • Engage IT Managers, Technical Decision Makers, and business stakeholders to understand needs and propose AWS solutions.
  • Conceptualize and lead programmatic campaigns and initiatives to drive pipeline creation.
  • Collaborate with Demand Generation Representatives (DGRs), Solution Architects (SAs), Partners, and other teams to meet customer needs.
  • Manage customer support cases including payment, suspension, and MFA issues.
  • Accurately track activity, forecast pipeline, and manage sales targets in CRM (Salesforce).
  • Utilize programs such as MAP Lite and workload-specific funding for higher-value deals.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of technology-related sales, business development, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing technologies.
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software.
  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
