About the Role
Janus Henderson is seeking a Head of AI Business Partners to lead the expansion of its AI transformation program. This role involves partnering with executive leadership to drive agentic workflow improvements, promoting modern AI tooling, and maximizing AI-native application development. The position sits at the intersection of technical credibility, program design, and change enablement, aiming to accelerate the firm's AI transformation.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead the AI Business Partners model, establishing a robust foundational program for rapid deployment of agentic solutions.
- Act as lead AI Business Partner for Technology, covering tools, models, agentic patterns, and cross-persona level-setting.
- Design and lead the Technology cohort, equipping them to cascade training through their teams.
- Run hands-on, workshop-style sessions covering coding agents, agentic CI/CD, planning with LLMs, spec writing and verification, long-running agents, and team-level skill sharing.
- Collaborate with Technology teams to proactively identify and resolve adoption blockers, ensuring clear frameworks for experimentation.
- Actively contribute to AI initiatives and hands-on solution delivery while managing and guiding the AI Business Partners team.
- Develop and implement appropriate metrics within the AI Academy framework, including pipeline telemetry, survey-based signals, and adoption data.
- Continuously research and monitor the evolving AI engineering landscape, evaluating trends and translating findings into curriculum enhancements.
- Collaborate with Innovation and Technology teams to ensure curriculum, tools, and patterns align with the firm’s governance, data privacy, and compliance framework.
Requirements
- Hands-on engineering credibility with experience shipping software and using modern coding agents.
- Working fluency with the modern AI engineering stack, including agentic harnesses, MCP, repo-level context, agentic CI/CD patterns, and long-running agents.
- Curriculum design and facilitation experience for engineers and technologists.
- Strong cross-persona communication skills, credible with engineers, product owners, architects, and sponsors.
- Practical change management instincts, including surfacing and removing adoption blockers.
- Business analysis and measurement literacy, comfortable with DORA metrics, SPACE, and developer experience research.
- Proactively take ownership of new initiatives, shaping direction and operations.
- Strong documentation instincts for creating reusable curriculum, patterns, and playbooks.
- Experience working in a regulated environment (financial services, healthcare, legal, government).
