About the Role
As an Accountant, you will work collaboratively as part of a team to deliver high-quality services to clients. You will prepare financial statements and tax returns, support tax compliance and planning activities, and research a range of tax, structuring, wealth and asset protection matters.
Responsibilities
- Prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, companies and SMSFs.
- Complete tax compliance work, including Division 7A, FBT, CGT, payroll and other indirect tax calculations.
- Prepare and implement tax planning strategies and initiatives.
- Research tax, business structuring, wealth and asset protection issues.
- Collaborate with colleagues to deliver commercially relevant outcomes for clients.
- Identify relevant risks and escalate matters when appropriate.
Requirements
- Approximately one to three years’ experience in Australian public practice.
- Experience working with privately owned groups, individuals and multiple entity types.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration and time-management skills.
- Clear communication, strong research skills and the ability to propose practical solutions.
Location
- Hybrid office/work-from-home environment
- Work from anywhere in Australia for up to one month each year
