About the Role
The Global Mobility & Coordination Group within the HR Operations Section supports Rakuten Group’s global business by ensuring timely staffing and providing support to place the best people where they are needed. This role focuses on compensation-related tasks for employees on overseas assignments, requiring a strong emphasis on legal compliance and accuracy from both Japanese and international perspectives.
Responsibilities
- Relocation support for overseas assignees
- Vendor control
- Administration and tracking of overseas assignee & accompanying family information
- Operations related to international transfers
- Operations related to overseas business trips
- Improving operational processes
- Handling inquiries from assignees
- Participate in and manage projects within the team
- Participate in cross-functional projects across the department
Requirements
- Hands-on experience in global HR or mobility (e.g., relocation support)
- Business experience using English in the workplace
Skills
- Tax-related knowledge
- Project management experience
- Experience working on an overseas assignment (as an expatriate)
- Experience in HR planning and/or HR system design
- English (Fluent)
- Japanese (Fluent)
