About the Role
We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Test Automation Engineer to join our client's QA team. This role is crucial for ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of their e-commerce services, which serve millions of users globally. The successful candidate will significantly contribute to building and enhancing the test automation architecture.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with test engineers and development teams to define and improve the test automation architecture.
- Design and operate test automation architecture.
- Design and operate original test automation framework.
- Design and operate CI/CD environment.
- Assign and review tasks to team members, including outsourced members.
- Design test automation scripts for UI, API, and web applications.
- Implement test automation scripts.
- Operate test automation tools.
- Verify and analyze test results.
- Report test results.
Requirements
- Over 3 years of experience in test automation development/implementation.
- Experience using testing middleware or frameworks (e.g., Junit, Test::Unit, unittest, Selenium, Cypress).
- Backend knowledge and application testing experience.
- Experience in developing/designing/implementing UI & API tests.
- Ability to read Japanese documents and communicate in Japanese.
- Test planning, design, and implementation experience.
- Internet Service Industry knowledge and experience.
- ISTQB foundation level knowledge.
- E-commerce domain knowledge.
- Service-oriented mindset.
- Proactively involves others to solve problems or improve situations.
- Possesses an inquiring mind for various issues/items.
- Demonstrates passion for continuous learning in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and other QA team members.
- Willingness to tackle new challenges and drive improvements, not satisfied with the status quo and routine work.
- A good team-worker who promotes team-working culture within and outside of the team.
- Business proficiency in English and Japanese is a must.
