About the Role
This role is responsible for ensuring the efficient, safe, and hygienic operation of the Stewarding department. You will motivate and develop junior team members through extensive training, ensuring cleanliness standards exceed HACCP and food safety regulations. You will collaborate with Culinary and Food & Beverage teams to maintain hygiene standards, implement cost control measures, and maximize guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the efficient, safe, and hygienic operation of the Stewarding department.
- Motivate and develop junior stewarding team members.
- Provide extensive training to junior team members.
- Ensure cleanliness standards exceed HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Work closely with the Culinary and Food & Beverage team.
- Maintain and deliver all hygiene standards.
- Adopt productive cost control measures.
- Contribute to maximizing guest satisfaction.
Requirements
- Previous leadership experience in a similar role (hotel setting highly regarded).
- Previous experience working in a large operation.
- Excellent knowledge of HACCP standards, hygiene practices, and WHS regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Highly organised and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Full valid Australian working rights.
