About the Role
As a Roland Store Product Specialist, your job is to take someone’s aspirations and turn them into reality by showing them the perfect products from Roland, BOSS or V-MODA, through demonstrations, via instore and online events with product “gurus” or artists, and through regular social media activity. You will be an accomplished and skilled salesperson, with a desire to grow the retail business while consistently delivering Roland’s high standards of customer service. You’ll also need to perform the usual requirements of running a retail store; from presentation to stock control, to regular reporting.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate products to customers.
- Conduct instore and online events with product gurus or artists.
- Engage in regular social media activity.
- Attract customers to the Roland Store through events, workshops, or 1-2-1 discussions.
- Deliver exciting events, presentations, or engaging conversations for customers.
- Perform usual requirements of running a retail store, including presentation and stock control.
- Generate regular reports.
Requirements
- Ability to deliver a fantastic customer-focused experience in a busy environment, whether online or offline, resulting in sales growth.
- Sales experience, ideally in a retail environment.
- Ability to react to challenges while remaining calm.
- Confidence and organizational skills to manage all aspects of a busy retail environment.
Skills
- Passion for music.
- Ability to play piano/keys, guitar, or drums to the equivalent of Grade 5 standard.
- Good understanding of music technology.
- Ability to absorb new information readily and easily and pass this knowledge on to others.
- Communication skills to comfortably converse, build relationships, and interact appropriately with individuals, customers, and the wider Roland/BOSS team at all levels.
- Comfortable in front of the camera or on the telephone.
- Comfortable face-to-face in the store.
