About the Role

Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end (E2E) delivery operations to customers, driving network efficiency, reducing direct logistics costs, and ensuring high-quality logistics governance.
- Manage 3PL partners, order processing, and delivery control.
- Lead local implementation of strategic projects such as delivery frequency redesign, warehouse automation, spare parts management, and business integration.
- Manage 3PL partner performance and quality to maintain a reliable and cost-effective delivery system.
- Optimize delivery costs by driving efficiency across the logistics network for optimal operational performance.
- Oversee seamless order processing from receipt to delivery.
- Drive local implementation of warehouse automation, delivery frequency optimization, and major system implementations/integrations.
- Pursue organizational efficiency through effective resource utilization and achievement of goals.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain operations, including E2E operations management (inventory, delivery, 3PL, order processing). Healthcare industry experience is not required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience utilizing SAP ERP and demand forecasting/planning systems, including data accuracy management and report creation.
- Minimum 2 years of people management experience, including team development, performance management, and leading diverse teams to maximize results.
- Ability to develop and execute cost-effective alternatives and procurement plans while maintaining quality.
- Ability to design and maintain optimal inventory levels for finished goods, spare parts, and key third-party procured items.
- Proficiency in 3PL and logistics management, including performance management, escalation of issues, and cost reduction through process improvement.
- Fluent English communication skills for seamless interaction with global teams.
- Experience in S&OP process operation, leading monthly S&OP cycles and aligning departments on quantity and supply assumptions.
- Ability to build and operate demand forecasting models that optimize service levels and inventory holding costs.
- Strong business acumen and expertise in advanced supply chain and warehouse management practices.
- Data-driven approach to translate demand signals and market data into accurate supply plans.
- Deep understanding of how 3PL and supplier terms impact Total Landed Cost.
- Advanced negotiation and consensus-building skills with external partners and 3PLs.
- Maintain open and firm communication with the Head of Finance and other departments.
- Ability to align the organization towards common goals with passion and persuasion, resolving inter-departmental conflicts from a company-wide perspective.
- Ability to present flexible and creative solutions to maximize operational efficiency in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to interpret Roche's global strategy and adapt it to Japanese local operations.
- Agility and crisis management skills for rapid assessment and response to unexpected logistics crises and supply disruptions.

Salary/Compensations
- Base Salary: ¥518,000/month onwards (determined by ability, experience, and company regulations)
- Fixed Overtime Allowance: ¥88,065/month onwards (paid as fixed overtime for 20 hours, regardless of actual overtime worked)
