About the Role
Planet is seeking a strategic Industry Marketing Manager to drive demand for AI-powered solutions within the Defense and Intelligence sector in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. This role involves understanding customer challenges, developing engagement strategies, and providing sales and marketing teams with messaging, content, and competitive insights. The position offers the opportunity to shape the regional defense and intelligence narrative and market groundbreaking data products and AI-powered solutions.
Responsibilities
- Grow the market for AI-powered solutions that detect threats across globally dispersed military, commercial sites, and open water.
- Support new Go-To-Market initiatives, including product launches, solution development, and partnerships.
- Assess market gaps and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Develop compelling positioning and messaging for intelligence and defense audiences.
- Produce and maintain industry-specific marketing assets and sales enablement tools.
- Partner with Account-Based Marketers on account-specific campaigns to support pipeline growth.
- Collaborate with product and pre-sales engineering teams to build interactive demos and narratives for proposals, events, and meetings.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Product, Solutions, or Industry Marketing.
- Direct experience working within the intelligence or defense sector.
- Track record of positioning and marketing B2G/enterprise products.
- Exceptional listening and influence skills.
- Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills.
- Creative and analytical thinking skills; ability to synthesize information.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience partnering with product, sales, and executive stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Ability to rapidly grasp technical concepts and develop simple, effective narratives.
- Adept at public speaking and evangelizing the company's mission and defense solutions.
