About the Role

Publift is seeking a Product Manager to own discovery and roadmap delivery for product areas within their auction core, including tooling, workflows, and platform capabilities. This role involves end-to-end ownership, customer and business impact, and collaboration with engineering, data science, and commercial teams.

Responsibilities

  • Own discovery, prioritization, and roadmap delivery for your product area, building a coherent, evidence-based roadmap from customer, user, and business needs.
  • Turn publisher feedback, internal signals, and support patterns into a scored, prioritized backlog, and make your trade-offs legible to stakeholders.
  • Write clear problem statements and specifications that engineers can build from directly, making ambiguous problems unambiguous for the team.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Commercial team through delivery: surface risks early, make pragmatic scope trade-offs, and take shipped work through measurement and iteration.
  • Talk to customer and internal users regularly and let what you hear visibly shape the roadmap.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in a product management role with end-to-end ownership of technical products or features.
  • A track record of shipping in a technical domain, working closely with engineering.
  • Fluent in writing specs, PRDs, or equivalent artifacts that others build from directly.
  • Strong product fundamentals: discovery, prioritization, and roadmap ownership.
  • Experience managing products with different levels of customers and users.
  • Measure yourself on outcomes, not shipped features - and instinctively translate ideas into revenue, adoption, retention, or efficiency terms.
  • Energized rather than intimidated by unfamiliar technical systems, and comfortable in detailed conversations with Engineers and Data Scientists.
  • Write sharply, and others have built directly from your specs, PRDs, or equivalent artifacts.
  • Comfortable owning a broad, ambiguous space and creating clarity in it rather than waiting for it.
  • Treat AI tooling as leverage in your day-to-day work. Product workflows are agent-assisted, and you'll extend them rather than resist them.
  • Comfort working with data directly, for example in SQL or spreadsheet-level analysis to support your own decisions.
  • Experience with operational or internal-facing products, where the user is an expert and the workflows are complex.
  • Successful candidates must have full-time Australian working rights.
  • Successful candidates will need to complete a National Police Record check.
