About the Role

Publift is seeking a leader to drive the evolution of their auction optimization technology, making it smarter, faster, and more scalable. This role involves setting strategy, defining success metrics, and leading experimentation to improve publisher revenue, yield, and inventory quality across Prebid and Google Ad Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for auction optimisation across Prebid and GAM, with clear KPIs and decision guardrails.
  • Manage the end-to-end optimisation uplift loop, framing hypotheses, designing implementation strategy, interpreting results, and making go-to-market decisions.
  • Translate business goals into precise problems, specifications, and experiment plans for engineering teams.
  • Drive delivery through launch, measurement, and post-launch review.
  • Make bidder configuration, identity, floors, timeouts, and layouts improvements coherent and measurable.
  • Evaluate demand, identity, and measurement partners through structured trials with explicit success criteria.
  • Support Commercial teams in negotiating integrations that create durable advantage for publishers.
  • Communicate priorities, risks, and results transparently to executives and cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience with end-to-end ownership of revenue-bearing products, the majority in publisher-side adtech.
  • Hands-on experience with publisher monetisation systems: Prebid, Google Ad Manager, SSPs/DSPs, and identity solutions.
  • Demonstrated, measurable impact on monetisation, reliability, latency, or comparable core metrics.
  • Fluent with data analysis, capable of analysis in SQL/Google Sheets/Excel to support decisions.
  • Ability to explain a publisher's auction journey from first principles, including potential layers and their instrumentation.
  • Experience turning analytics into the next experiment, defining metrics and guardrails, segmenting data, and framing hypotheses with explicit go/no-go criteria.
  • Comfort discussing test design and basic statistics with Data Scientists and translating results for non-technical audiences.
  • Bias toward hands-on work, including inspecting configurations or payloads.
  • Must have full-time Australian working rights.
  • Successful candidates will need to complete a National Police Record check.
