About the Role

This position will lead large-scale and complex construction and development projects in Japan, build trusted client partnerships, develop Project Managers, and contribute to the continued growth of our Investor business.

Responsibilities

Lead the delivery of data centers, logistics facilities, manufacturing plants, commercial offices, and large-scale capital projects across Japan.
Manage the full project lifecycle from feasibility, planning, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.
Provide strategic leadership for multiple concurrent projects while ensuring delivery within budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
Act as the primary client interface and lead engagement with senior stakeholders, consultants, designers, contractors, authorities, and executive management teams.
Develop procurement strategies and lead tendering, vendor selection, commercial negotiations, and contract administration activities.
Drive project governance, risk management, change management, and issue resolution throughout project execution.
Mentor, coach, and support junior project managers and project teams.
Support business development activities, including client relationship management, proposal preparation, and new business opportunities.
Lead mission-critical infrastructure developments including power systems, cooling systems, MEP installations, commissioning, and operational readiness.
Lead business development initiatives, including client relationship development, proposal preparation and strategic account growth.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline.
Typically 10 or more years experience within the construction, development, or infrastructure industry.
Proven track record leading complex projects as a project manager, construction manager, development manager, or equivalent.
Extensive experience managing project budgets, schedules, quality, risk, and stakeholder expectations.
Outstanding communication, leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience delivering data centers, mission-critical facilities, manufacturing plants, logistics facilities, and large-scale developments.
Relevant professional qualifications such as First-Class Architect, First-Class Construction Management Engineer, CCMJ, PMP or RICS would be advantageous.
Understanding of MEP systems, critical infrastructure environments, and commissioning processes.
Experience working within multinational organizations and cross-border project environments.
Demonstrated business development, client relationship management, and account management experience.
Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, BIM platforms, MS Project, and/or Primavera P6, and Procore.
