About the Role

Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams including Registration, Radiology, Physician Practice Management, and Physical Therapy.
- Escort patients to exam rooms, prepare them for examinations, review patient statuses, and assist in obtaining patient data.
- Obtain PCR nasal swabs for pre-surgical patients.
- Support the Pre-Surgical Screening program by assisting nurses and obtaining vital signs, lab specimens (venipuncture), and EKGs.
- Prepare specimens for the lab and ensure proper hand-off to couriers.
- Foster efficient patient throughput, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain an organized professional environment.
- Assist physicians in treatments and procedures, ensuring timely completion of physician orders.
- Demonstrate proficiency in cast removal, suture and staple removal, and application of off-the-shelf braces.
- Maintain sensitivity and awareness of cultural and religious diversity when interacting with patients, visitors, co-workers, and other customers.
- Participate in a supportive and team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.).
- Certified Medical Assistant.
- BLS Certification.
