About the Role
Susquehanna International Group (SIG) is seeking an experienced Python Developer with data visualization expertise to support Compliance and Trading Risk technology needs in the Asia Pacific region. This role involves building and maintaining tools for oversight of trading activity, integrating APIs from platforms like Eventus, and developing compliance dashboards crucial for regulatory adherence. You will gain business knowledge by collaborating with Compliance, Trading Risk, traders, and technologists in a global, market-leading firm, understanding specific APAC market nuances to build effective surveillance and monitoring tools.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and dashboards for Compliance and Trading Risk oversight.
- Integrate APIs from third-party trade surveillance and monitoring platforms (e.g., Eventus) into internal systems.
- Build interactive, data-rich compliance dashboards for real-time visibility into APAC trading activity.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate regulatory and business requirements into technical solutions.
- Maintain a holistic view of systems, understanding the integration of data pipelines, APIs, databases, and visualization layers.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and support tools in a large-scale production environment.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Python developer.
- Experience building data visualization tools or dashboards in a production environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience within a trading firm, investment bank, or financial institution is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using data visualization libraries/frameworks (e.g., pandas, Plotly, Dash).
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
- Commitment to innovation and a strong interest in learning about trading, compliance, and regulatory processes.
