About the Role

John Holland is seeking experienced Track Build Supervisors to join the Sydney Metro West Linewide Project. This role involves coordinating on-site teams to deliver scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications, ensuring effective performance within designated time and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors to achieve outcomes.
  • Provide and take leadership responsibility in health, safety, and environment management.
  • Contribute to the development of work methods and rolling short-term construction programs and plan daily/weekly production work.
  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive, and professional communication.
  • Complete progress reporting, activities, and shift handover reports.
  • Ensure compliance of commercial and financial costs, including budgets.
  • Read and understand plans, review design documentation, read drawings, and provide constructive review and implementation of final designs.
  • Ensure contractual mechanisms of subcontractors.
  • Identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing and contribute to a risk management culture.
  • Select, train, and develop leading hands, ensuring observance of safety and work standards.
  • Maintain effective consultation with workers’ representatives and committees on industrial and safety subjects.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated Track Build previous experience.
  • Experience with top-down track slab construction.
  • Major project experience across Construction, Infrastructure, and Rail.
  • Substantial industry experience in Trade and Construction.
  • Technical competency and understanding in the area of supervision.
  • Skill in reviewing design documents and understanding drawings.
  • Ability to provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
  • Strong understanding and focus for Safety.
  • Experience in People and Performance Management of subcontractors, suppliers, and direct labour.
